    The Jizerská 50 is officially the memorial to the Czechoslovak mountain-climbing expedition “Peru 1970”. The historic race is a memory to this expedition set out to conquer the highest peak of the Peruvian Andes, Mt. Huascarán. All 15 members of the expedition took part in the winter of 1970 in the Jizerská 50. Only four months later, all of them were killed under stone avalanche caused by a severe earthquake.

    There will be an opening ceremony and a fireworks after the race.
